CDDB2 - The new extended
disc recognition service
with
Music Browser
New to version 25 - Look up info directly
from the MP3 file without having the CD!
This version also includes links to related web sites - categories
include fan sites, artist sites, tour guides, TV appearances, album
cover art etc.
With
the CDDB's Disc Recognition Service, there's no more typing in the
artist, album, song title, and other information for all your CD's.
Best of all, access to this service is always free! The new CDDB2
database begins with the massive database already established for
CDDB, and updates it with a great deal more information for each
disc, including expanded album and track-by-track credits, genres,
and segments.
Select a track and press play to hear it before you encode. Read
the extended track information as you listen.
How it works
Audio CD's have a code number on the disc. Media Box takes that
number and passes it to the CD database at www.cddb.com. The
database then returns the relevant information for the disc and it
is displayed in the window (below).
Extended Information
The latest CD's have extended track info with notes and credits.
Press the Extended Info button to open this window.

The
Music Browser displays
more information about your CD including links to related web sites.
Links include artist sites, fan clubs, TV appearances, tour guides,
album cover images and more.
